Greetings,
2025 is proving to be a year of rapid change. We are all closely watching the developments coming out of Washington and assessing their impacts on California and National healthcare. What can Healthcare Providers and Payers Expect from the Second Trump Administration? Check out our article outlining the major healthcare policy shifts already enacted - and those we can anticipate over the next four years. Keeping up with the fast pace of change is tricky, please keep an eye out for updates as things evolve.
California’s historic mental health reform - Proposition 1 - passed one year ago and authorized $6.4 billion in bonds to finance behavioral health needs. We interviewed Dr. Rachna Saralkar, Psychiatrist and Digital Health Advisor to share a clinical perspective on the impetus for Prop. 1, and learn how health plans and providers can support the mental health system.
We also had the pleasure of sitting down with Percy Howard, President and CEO of California Institute for Behavioral Health Solutions to talk about progress being made towards improving mental health outcomes in light of Prop. 1, and the importance of integrating equity-for-all, along with evidence-based and community-defined practices into mental health advancement.
Best,
Dava Freed
